Adult Education Classes

Adult Education classes meet seasonally on Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the sanctuary. This summer, please join us for four weeks starting on Wednesday, July 7 at 6:30pm, in the sanctuary, for “Kabbalah and the Realm of Incarnations,” a lecture series on Kabbalah and the mysteries of the Zohar. The last lecture session will be on July 28th.

Everyone is welcome to listen to the words of Dr. Petr Chylek, who has been explaining the Kabbalistic world to us for the past four years. This year our teacher focuses on the idea of re-incarnation, and how that notion is detailed in the writings of the medieval masters. The first session on July 7th will include a brief introduction to the idea of Kabbalah and its early appearance in Jewish writings. Rabbi Levy will present this historical introduction. Dr. Chylek will continue with his survey and delve into the writings of Maimonides, Moses Cordevero, Isaac Luria, and Moses Luzzato. For more information, please call the office at 505.820.2991.
