Cultivating a Good Life

Yochanan ben Zakkai, one of the Talmudic sages, asked his disciples about the nature of a good life. “Go and seek, the best way in life that man must choose for himself.” The students answered, an “ayin tova,” a good eye, while another said “a good friend,” and another responded “a good neighbor,” and another, “lev tov,” a good heart. What do you consider to be the essential pillars of a good life? Can we translate these Talmudic teachings into our own daily life?
